Yesterday Panama defeated Canada 2-0 in a match of the FIFA World Cup 2014 Qualifiers. The previous game between Panama and Canada ended with a 1-0 victory for the Canadian team.

I will not go into details about both games, what I was interested in documenting was what has turned into the usual way of celebrating a victory of Panama's soccer team.

Minutes after the end of the game, a huge amount of fans drive to Calle 50 in Panama City, where they celebrate the victory in a motorcade or caravan (without escorting a prominent person), playing loud music, gathering in groups carrying the national flag and drinking alcohol. The police activity increases in the sector, to guarantee security and to establish a certain degree of order to the massive celebration.
