Portrait of a Warrior

Posted by

Once upon a time, people used to be gentle, happy and quiet. We used to live peacefully, enjoy our works and spend time with our families and friends.
Those times are gone now, it all started with the arrival of the machine, we were all impressed of the advances of our time, we thought we were like Gods.
In the beginning we used to gather and have a good time, we thought that this machines came to enhance our relations, to make us share more moments together, to shorten distances, but that was a lie, people started to isolate themselves, violence started to grow, impatience was around the corner.
Then came the war, we were forced to fight against friends, against people we didn't know, our allies were machines of death, devices that I wish never had been created. As the war came to an end we thought everything was going to change, new generations were growing up, new developments were under process, but we were getting older. We could not react as before, our bodies were tired, our minds could not follow all the new technologies, we started to be left behind.
We were warriors, we never stopped fighting so we faced this new challenge with all our strength, our new objective was to teach younger people about the good things we had so they will never have to live in dark times, a last effort to correct our mistakes. The result of our last effort is something I cannot predict, will we be able to live peacefully again?
As you listen to my words remember that there is always hope, learn to appreciate the beauty of the world and be sensitive...never give up, and always make your best effort, don't allow this world to be controlled by the hands of darkness again!
