Reflexión

Posted by Alfredo J. Martiz J. (Panama City, Panama) on 1 July 2011 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

A new month has just begun, for me this is a moment to think about what we have accomplished so far during this year and to consider if we have been doing enough.

Recently, there have been many events happening in my country that makes me wonder if we as members of a society under constant development, should slow down a bit to consider if we are making the right decisions and if we are following a meaningful path for our growth.

There seems to be a lot of nonsense and disagreement in the air at the moment, with many decisions that could compromise our identity, heritage, quality of life and natural resources in favor of economical growth.

Working in a low mood, or with an uncomfortable feeling, or uncertainty of what will happen is not easy, but we have to continue making efforts and try to make the most of each moment we have.

This moment was captured during a visit to the Río Chagres, the man depicted in this photo was our guide on our way to the waterfall I shared with you some days ago.
