Yu Darvish, is an Iranian-Japanese starting pitcher for the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters. At 22 years of age, he is widely heralded as an ace for the Fighters, as well as Japanese baseball. Darvish wears the number 11.
He is currently playing for the Japanese team in the World Baseball Classic 2009. This series of photos were taken yesterday during the game between Japan and China, the final score was Japan 4 - China 0.
