Demolition

Posted by Alfredo J. Martiz J. (Panama City, Panama) on 12 June 2008 in Cityscape & Urban.

Yesterday, a group of construction workers finished demolishing a 40 year old wood structured house located in a small lot behind the apartment where I live. Demolition works began two days ago, but it was yesterday that I found out what was happening, the first day brought a lot of noise that was not enough to make me curious. Driven by architectural curiosity and a sense of photo-journalist adventure, I approached one of the men at the beginning of the working day and asked him if I was allowed to take photos of the demolition process, kindly granted to my surprise.
