Kōenji Matsuri Elder

Posted by Alfredo J. Martiz J. (Panama City, Panama) on 13 November 2007 in People & Portrait.

Minutes after waking up I remembered one day of august that I went to Kōenji to see the Tokyo Kōenji Awaodori Dance Festival.
This festival is held annually on the last Saturday and Sunday of August and highlights the summer of Tokyo as one of the three largest summer festivals of the area, together with Sumida River Fireworks Festival and Asakusa Samba Carnival.
The first image that came to my mind before seeing the photos of that day was the portrait of this elder, his delicate movements, refreshing smile and warm spirit.
