Journey to Fuji-san (VII)

Posted by Alfredo J. Martiz J. (Panama City, Panama) on 25 August 2007 in Miscellaneous.

We continued our journey to the top of the Fuji, as I mentioned before, I was getting more tired with every step; I found myself using this bars as support in order to continue, my legs were getting weak and we still had a long way to go. I made the photo of this bar because I liked the contrast between the rust texture and the rope, I present it to you in B/W because I believe it looks more dramatic.
The real reason behind this photo was to never forget about those objects that stand still on the sides of the path to the top of the Fuji, objects that are constantly watching climbers passing by; inanimate elements that turn into spectators, only observing the same play, a déjavù scene, a recurring dream within a dream... but kind enough to help those that need a helping hand to continue the exhausting way to the top.

Fuji-San. August 17th, 2007.
-Previously in the Journey to Fuji-san- 17:19 - Alfredo was having a really nice time making photos of his friends, he had no idea what was coming next.

17:21 - The group continued their way to the top.
17:40 - Time when I made this photo. I had to stop to take a small rest, as I was doing that, this bar with the rope kept looking at me, I made a portrait of them.
