I will start saying that I am really surprised with this photo, I only made this photo because I liked how my friends were looking with the hut in the background and also because I wanted to remember the look of one of the huts. When I made this photo I adjusted the Exposure to allow the foreground to be appreciated. For some reason I liked this photo, the composition, my friends there, the setting. I though "should I post it or not", the background was overexposed, at first I thought about posting it with the overexposed background; I stopped for a while, kept looking at the photo and from out of nowhere I decided to underexposed it to see what resulted from that, what I came to find was this wonderful and hidden dramatic sky. Thinking about making something special for this photo, I exported two versions of the photo, one with the exposure for the foreground and the other with the exposure for the background, mixed them and then did some layer masking on one of the layers, a bit of dodge & burn and sharpening and this is the result. I really like how this photo looks, I hope you like it as I do! =)
Fuji-San. August 17th, 2007. -Previously in the Journey to Fuji-san- 16:56 - I Thought if I was going to make it to the top someday, started to feel tired. Wondered how much time was going to take to reach Hana-goya Hut.
Around 17:05 - Arrived to the Hana-goya Hut located approximately at 2700 m of altitude. That was fast I think, after that I was not able to go so fast. 17:07 - Time when I made this photo. Had a small rest while waiting for Ana Teresa and Miguel.

You did a great job with the processing on this photo, Alfredo. The sky is fantiastic, and I love the little house on the right with the sky beside. It almost looks surreal.
