Journey to Fuji-san (I)
Posted by Alfredo J. Martiz J. (Panama City, Panama) on 19 August 2007 in Landscape & Rural.
A group of friends and me went to Fuji-san (Mount Fuji) Friday and Saturday, with this photo I begin a series related to that journey.
August 17th, 2007.
7:00 - The day started without a rush, checking some e-mails, visiting some photoblogs and enjoying a nice breakfast. I prepared myself for leaving home, ready to begin a new journey.
Around 10:00 - Called my friend Marcel to let him know I got late and asked him to buy the bus ticket for me, I got worried of not being able to get in time to the meeting point.
10:35 - Arrived to Shinjuku and called Marcel to let him know I arrived, as we were talking we moved closer to each other, we finally met.
-Nice conversation inside a Café-
10:53 - We found ourselves running to the bus to find out we didn't know the location of the platform for our bus, we asked and continued running.
10:55 - Departure from the Bus Station
-Long, boring and sleepy time spent inside the Bus, in the Highway-
Around 14:30 - We arrived at Kawaguchikoguchi gogome, one of the fifth stations at 2305 m of Altitude in Fuji-San.
14:47 - Time when I made this photo, there he was, looking at us, intimidating, powerful. Probably not the best photo you can see of Fuji-san, I hope I can make a nice photo from a nearby location someday.
