Sepak Takraw

Sepak Takraw is a sport native to Southeast Asia, resembling volleyball, except that it uses a rattan ball and only allows players to use their feet and head to touch the ball. A cross between soccer and volleyball, it is a popular sport in Thailand, Malaysia, Laos and Indonesia. Played on a badminton doubles-sized court, the game evolved from a hacky sack-type practice, into the aiming of a kick into a high, suspended net.

It kind of reminds me another pic you took several months ago. I love these closeups (?), 'cause they show small details that would have otherwise passed unnoticed for the naked eye.

I have seen this sport on TV. It looks fascinating. This is a really striking photo. The detail of the rattan is excellent. Well done.

@Sash: Thank you Sash, I have never seen the sport on TV, in fact I have never seen someone playing the sport but I have 2 of those rattan balls, I hope to see how they play it! =)
