Photo from a visit to the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The Vietnam War (also known as the Second Indochina War, the American War in Vietnam and the Vietnam Conflict) occurred from 1959 to April 30, 1975. The war was a successful effort by the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRV or North Vietnam) and the indigenous National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam, (also known as the Việt Cộng, Charlie or VC) to reunify Vietnam under a communist government. The Vietnam War was finally concluded on 30 April 1975, with the Fall of Saigon. The war claimed 58,000 U.S. combat dead and the lives of between 2 and 5.7 million Vietnamese, a large number of whom were civilians. Source: Wikipedia

Such a terrible waste of lives! A great photo with excellent detail! Wish all such weapons could just rust away! :(

@badala: Thank you Badala!
Nice shot, Alfredo. The war was a massacre. Forcing Vietnamese to fight against Vietnamese is so cruel and shame.

@aaxan: Thank you aaxan, I agree with your comment, war is so cruel and shame!
I echo the comments of the futile nature of war... The shot is quite powerful, emphasizing the faceless-machine like nature of these weapons. Aptly titled, as always very nice work Alfredo.

@Chris Sullivan: Thank you Chris!
Nicely done -- the "strong light of day" illuminates the war machine. It is very pertinent today.

@Ken McCoy: Thank you Ken, as I said before, hope we can let go all of our differences and work together for great things!
The lines are so neat and clean. Sharp picture, reminds me of the horrors of war. It also reminds me of a certain Megadeth album and song... humm...

@paperdoll: Thank you Paperdoll, everything related to war is sad, hope we can reach a point of understanding each other and that we can let go all our differences. The Megadeth album is titled Rust in Peace, and the song is Rust in Peace...Polaris!
nice capture - war is scary no matter if it is immortalized in a museum or fought as we speak - it is the waste of young men's lives and minds

@Art Monkey: Thank you very much Art Monkey!
We just need Jack Bauer kicking some terrorist in the head in that picture and it'd be awesome.
Either Jack or Solid Snake. Yeah.
Excellent pic, cous.
