Hanami

Posted by Alfredo J. Martiz J. (Panama City, Panama) on 1 April 2007 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

Today was a wonderful day, I had the opportunity to spend a wonderful time with some friends in Yoyogi-kōen for Hanami!
Hanami is a Japanese tradition that consist in enjoying the beauty of flowers, in special the Sakura or Ume blossoms. It is said that this tradition started during the Nara Period (710-784 A.D) when the Chinese Tang Dynasty influenced Japan in many ways.
During Hanami people gather in parks for picnic under the trees; it is really nice to see everybody happy and relaxed, just enjoying the nice moment with friends and admiring the Sakura.
Spring has arrived, A new month has started, I wish you all a great month and Thank you for your visits!
