Farmhouse of the Tenmyo Family

Posted by Alfredo J. Martiz J. (Panama City, Panama) on 24 February 2007 in Landscape & Rural.

During the Edo Period (1603-1867), this old house was the head home of the village of Unoki (in what is now Ota City). It is highly esteemed for its main building with its zigzag gable at the front, the elongated entrance, the Karesansui garden, and its other interesting features. Photo from a visit to the Edo-Tokyo Tatemonoen.
