Alfredo, why apologizing? the shot is sharp and very vivid. The feathers texture is amazing and do not forget these very sharp eyes.... in my opinion this is a superb take. Keep on!

I have to agree with the others, this is really a great shot! To me this photo shows how powerful and strong this bird is, no matter if captive or free!

This is a photo to be proud of no matter where it was taken. You have captured the majesty of this eagle in a rare moment when everything was set for the perfect shot and you have managed to capture that moment forever. Congrats.

@Helen: Thank you very much Helen, I really appreciate your kind words!
I have to agree with other ppls' comments that I've seen here. The feathers... ahh... sooo great. Looks almost like a painting. The eagle's eyes gives the pic so much character. It's almost like if it was saying, "don't mess up with me, or else..."

WOW! Stunning shot. Don't know how/why but it has a painting quality to it. Absolutely incredible image.

@Stu: Thank you very much Stu, One of the things that I like the most of this photo is precisely the painting quality of it, I was surprised that day when I saw the photo and got really happy!
I like that this feels like a portrait of a person. The focus is on the expression and "personality" of the bird, and not so much its full form as an animal.
Yes, it is sad that it must be in captivity...but also, not all of us can be national geographic photographers! Great job.

@Evelyn: Thank you for you kind words Evelyn!
Awesome job on this photograph! I like the bokeh.
I know how you feel about taking photographs of animals in the zoo. But as the commenter above said, "not all of us can be national geographic photographers". I'm not totally against zoos though. I think that it's really important to keep some animals in captivity in order to prevent extinction. It also allows research to expand our knowledge of animals.

@Karen: Thank you very much Karen, I appreciate your kind comments, it would be nice to be a national geographic photographer... but we are not... =)
Pienso que cacturastes la dignidad y nobleza del ave.
I though you caught the noble spirit of the bird

@Ramon: Thank you Ramon!
I feel great respect for this warrior of the skies. This pic is a really good shot, but I think that animals look much better when they're out in the wild.

@paperdoll: Thank you very much Paperdoll, I also think it is better to make photos of them when they are free!
Great shoot. If you say it's from Ueno Zoo in Tokyo. I think I got a shoot of the same majestic eagle. http://www.aptass.com/semester/displayimage-379.html It's taken October 2004. Never thought I would run into the same eagle twice :)
