Heart of the Tunnel

Today is the last day of an art exhibition in El Búnker, Isla Flamenco, by two panamanian artists, Claudia Lamboglia and Stacy I. Pastor.
Yesterday I posted a photo of Claudia Lamboglia's "Entre Todo" exhibition, as well as some historical information of the place they chose for presenting their work.
This photo is of Stacy I. Pastor's “ESTAS, ENTRAS Y SALDRAS de Ti” exhibition. In her work she explored a strong, conflictive and usually avoided topic of the human psyche (desperation, anxiety, pain, suffering), through a series of paintings, sculptures, lights and sounds.
As you walk through the tunnel you are surrounded by a series of strong paintings, that make you feel shocked with the scenes depicted. The intensity of the exhibition increases with the ambient sound of a heart beating and red lights blinking intermittently. After this procession you reach a small chamber with the sculpture of a heart, surrounded by more paintings as well as the increased strength of the heart beating and intermittent red lights.
Not seen on this photo but worth mentioning is the contrast between her exhibition on the tunnel and the following part of the tunnel that was left alone, total darkness, making you change from feelings of anxiety and desperation to complete fear of the dark, the unknown or unseen.
